Dr. Kourosh Sedghisigarchi is a full time faculty member in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Kourosh has more than ten years professional academic experience serving as an associate, assistant professor at WVUIT and research assistant professor at West Virginia University. His research activities has been focused smart grids, microgrids, distributed generation, renewable energy, power electronics, and power systems and control.
Dr. Ali Amini
Dr. Ali Amini is a full time faculty member in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Dr Amini has more than 30 years of professional academic experience serving as an associate professor, full time professor and chair of ECE Department in CSUN since 1985. He has several publications such in the field of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Civil Engineering as well as Earthquake Engineering.
Dr. Hamid Johari
Dean of College
Dr. Johari is the current Dean for the College of Engineering and Computer Science at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Dr. Johari has more than 10 years of professional academic experience serving as an associate, assistant professor and associate department chair at Worcester Polytechnic Institute prior to his tenure in the department of Mechanical Engineering as a professor and the department chair. He received his master’s and doctorate degree from University of Washington in Aeronautics with heavy research and publications in the field.
2018 – 2019
Yin Fung Khong
Yin is currently a graduate student majoring in Computer Engineering. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering in Fall 2017, and he was a recipient of summa cum laude award. He is a multilingual speaker – English, Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese and Hokkien. In his spare time, he likes to photograph, cook, endurance run, programming and volunteer. Other than being involved in Tau Beta Pi, he is also serving as the President for Leaders in Engineering and Computer Science, a Mentor in CSUN Mentorship Program, and a Matador Mentor in New Student Orientation (NSO). In Summer 2018, he was fortunate to be part of Intel iCDG interning as a Product Development Engineer.
Michael is an undergraduate student majoring in Mechanical Engineering at CSUN. He is expecting to receive his Bachelor’s degree in the same major, with honors, in Fall 2019. He considers himself a problem solver and a go-getter, constantly going above and beyond in his endeavors. Michael currently works as a 3D printer technician at Hamilton 3D LLC, a rapid prototyping business, where he frequently 3D prints parts for clients and utilizes computer-aided design software. When not working or studying, he enjoys tinkering with his personal computers, reading, and spending time with his friends and family.
james is an undergraduate student at CSUN. he is looking forward to graduating in Spring 2019, with his bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, minoring in Sustainability. He is also an active member in ASCE, working on Concrete Canoe, and EERI. In his free time, James enjoys helping others and being with friends and family.
Vanessa is currently a senior Electrical Engineering undergrad expected to graduate in Fall 2019. She is a product engineering intern at NXP Semiconductors and loves coding and learning about digital electronics. On her free time, she enjoys eating good food, exploring the city, and finding new fun things to do. Besides Tau Beta Pi, she is also very involved with SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers).
Jorge is currently an undergraduate student majoring in Civil Engineering. He is currently part of a research team on campus working alongside professors and other peers to update an existing equation that will estimate the service of corrugated steel culverts. Jorge likes to go out with friends and have a good time.

Commonly referred as Chai, he is currently an undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering minoring in Manufacturing Systems Engineering is expected to graduate in Spring 2019. He enjoys hiking, gaming, and improving his mind and body through tormenting physical challenges and creative thought in philosophical discussions.
Kelsi is currently a senior Mechanical Engineering student expected to graduate in Spring 2019. She is a design engineer intern at Aerojet Rocketdyne where she assists in design process of rocket engines. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, backpacking, and building 2D and 3D puzzles.
Dennis is an undergraduate student majoring in Computer Engineering. He enjoys helping students succeed and is a CRLA Level 1 & 2 Certified Tutor. He is also a member of the IEEE- Eta kappa Nu honors society and he is the recipient of the California Edison Scholarship from Engineering and Computer Science.

menua is currently an undergraduate student majoring in Computer Engineering, and is expected to graduate in Spring 2020. In his free time, Menua likes to play video games with friends, hang out with family and friends, try new outdoor activities and go to new food spots.
Daniel is a senior Electrical Engineering student expected to graduate early, Magna Cum laude, in the Fall of 2018. During the summer of 2018, he performed research at Stanford University as an undergraduate Research Fellow, working in the nano-Photonics Lab.

Cassandra is currently an undergrad majoring in Computer Science. She has a special interest in web development in learning new languages, both verbal and programming. Her current anticipated graduation date is Spring 2019.
Joshua is current an undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science. His anticipated graduation date is Spring 2019. He considers himself highly knowledgeable with all things tech and enjoys tinkering with computer devices. Currently he is working on a secret programming project.
